I met a women at my church's Spring Healing Fair who was selling candles. I loved the candles but have had too many candles that tunnel down the middle, not to mention all that stuff in the news a few years ago about carcinogens from burning candles. I had pretty much stopped burning candles in my home for those health reasons. She told me her candles did not soot up and had 100% cotton wicks and wouldn't tunnel etc.... I was skeptical so she said she would buy it back if I had any trouble with it or didn't like it. Well you can't go wrong with that so I ordered the scent I liked. I also loved the soap but can't use to many kinds because of my sensitive skin and I have exezema. Again she said these are great soaps good for sensitive skin etc... and she would buy it back if I could not use it. OK so I bought it. She gave me a brochure with my purchase.
Well I loved the soap and read the brochure about selling this myself. I called and asked her 1000 questions which she answered with a very pleasant tone and never seemed to loose her patients with all my questions.
So I "signed up" to sell these Candles and other gourmet products. This women (Paula Bishop of Maine) explained all the income potential to me along with the residual income potential. I said "you know what, I really am not interested in signing anyone up I just would like to make a little money and do some home party's where I can talk to grown ups". I had been a stay home mom for 13 years, before that I worked full time as a counselor. So I missed working and talking to grown ups. Being a candle-lover, what first attracted me to this business was that it involved candles that don't produce the soot that had forced me to stop burning scented candles in our home. My husband is very sensitive to smoke and scents and, believe me, he was NOT too thrilled when I first told him about my find! However, once we received some free samples, we were both immediately sold on the product.
After a doing some investigation, I saw the potential this business holds for us and our future.
